Absalom

Absalom (father of peace), the third son of David. Possessed of grace and beauty, yet vain and ambitious, he engaged in a rebellion against his father David, but was defeated and slain. David's tenderness and sorrow for his erring son are expressed in his touching lamentation in Second Samuel .win, 33.
